I'm retired now so less annual mileage.įebruary 2021 and running perfectly. Combined mileage (all seasons) is still around 24-25 MPG. We're now at February of 2020 and all is still perfect. I have had no issues that have need attention and still getting the same mileage as before. It continues to be the best especially when loading it up for our weekly trips to our summer vacation home.Īs we enter 2019 I am still extremely happy with this vehicle. All good.Īfter two years still fantastic. Handled great in the winter snows with the AWD. Mileage on highway if about 27+ and local driving is running about 24. Now owned it for a year and it continues to impress me. After owing it for over 6 months it's the best vehicle I've owned. Oh well.minor issue and made her a grabber to reach the hatch hand hold. Only con is that my wife is short and cannot reach the back hatch to close it. The 4 cyl. … 2.4 engine is great and has plenty of power to handle the hills and can easily pass on the highway without punching the pedal. So far I have been averaging slightly over 27 MPG on the highway here in New England and better than 23 MPG around town. Car handles wonderfully with great steering and comfortable ride. Both my wife and I have commented how our legs don't feel like rubber after getting out from a trip. Have had this 2016 Equinox for three weeks now and totally love it. If you do decide to go here, before making any purchase I’d recommend calling other Kia dealerships to compare. So my advice is don’t believe what you see on their website, don't believe their sticker prices as none of that seems to matter, they can and might decide to change the price once you arrive at the dealership. A simple text, call or "we are greedy notice" would have been welcomed. I guess I moved too fast, showed too much interest in the vehicle, but a $10,000 markup is nothing but pure greed, especially when you proudly display a “code of ethics” sign on the wall. At least with options you actually get something. Says this is a hot car and other dealerships are doing it or adding options. Huh, so the sticker price isn’t correct now? The price on the website isn’t correct? Thinking I might be in for a small markup, the salesperson comes back with a $10,000 markup added to MSRP. When I get there, the salesperson informs me the sales manager is going to add a markup to the sales price. I drove 1.5 hours to this dealership ready to purchase the vehicle. I knew I found a hot car and that I got very lucky finding it so I looked at their website several times, looked at the Sticker Price several times, read dealer notes, called and spoke to a sales person and knew I needed to move on it quickly so I left work early. Usually I have a found that a dealership will post their markup and dealer add-ons on their website, add it to the sticker price, or note it in the dealer options on the Kia website or their own website, basically not hide the fact they are going to overcharge you simply because they were the lucky dealership to get a hot car. Having been in this post-pandemic, chip shortage, car-buying experience for a while now, I have spent endless hours looking at dealerships, cars, sticker prices, markups, dealer add-ons, etc. You can tell a lot about a business by how they operate during difficult times and from all the dealerships I have spoken too, Southwest Kia of Rockwall, was by far, one of the greediest of them all.
